Bayside was founded in 2001 by engineer Raúl E. Betancourt Solís to carryout general construction work.  Prior to founding Bayside, Raúl spent two decades working as Project Engineer and later on as Project Manager for one of Puerto Rico’s top construction firms.  The experience and knowledge he acquired over his 48-year career, play an integral part in every project performed by the company.  Since its beginning, Bayside has been characterized for providing top quality services, within budget and on time, while maintaining a safe environment for its employees and the general public.  In 2016 former Project Managers joined as new members in ownership, to provide continuity to Raul’s legacy while sharing his same principles and passion for delivering projects of the highest quality.  

Bayside is mainly engaged in residential, commercial, and institutional construction.  However, the firm is not limited to these specific markets, as it possesses vast experience in a wide variety of other market segments. The backbone of Bayside’s business is general contracting.  However, we have also performed some projects using the delivery method of “design-build”, and “CM for fee”.  As a general contractor we typically self-perform some interior finishes, earth work, and concrete works.  For trades such as MEP, aluminum windows and glazing, conveying, and other specialties, we work with a network of well-known and reliable subcontractors with whom we have established a solid relationship throughout the years.

Bayside is backed by Travelers Indemnity as the provider of performance bonds, while Fulcro Insurance serves as insurance broker. The company is audited by UHY Del Valle & Nieves, PSC, and HumanResources services are provided by Avista LLC.
